BEIJING, July 31 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

SHENYANG -- China's Liaoning Province reported 11 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday, the provincial health commission said Friday.
All new confirmed patients are in the city of Dalian and six of them were previously asymptomatic cases, according to the commission.

BEIJING -- No new confirmed, asymptomatic or suspected cases of COVID-19 were reported in Beijing on Thursday, the municipal health commission said Friday.
Ten people were discharged from hospital after recovery, the commission said in a daily report.

MEXICO CITY -- Mexico's Health Ministry said Thursday that 639 deaths related to COVID-19 were reported during the past 24 hours, taking the national toll from the pandemic to 46,000.
The country that shares northern border with the United States, the world's hardest-hit country, has so far reported a total of 416,179 cases, up 7,730 than the previous day.

SEOUL -- South Korea reported 36 more cases of COVID-19 as of 0:00 a.m. Friday local time compared to 24 hours ago, raising the total number of infections to 14,305.
The daily caseload doubled after posting 18 in the previous day due to imported cases and small cluster infections.
