NANNING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Lu Yiding, 29-year-old, and his girlfriend Wang Fufu run a cake stall at Nanning's bustling Xiguan night market. Each evening from around 6 p.m. until the early hours of the next morning, this "post-95" couple works tirelessly preparing food ingredients, baking cakes, and interacting with customers.
Lu first explored small business ventures during his college years in Wuhan. After graduation in 2019, he took conventional employment in Nanning. Influenced by personal interests and lifestyle preferences, he decided to quit his job and started his own business with his girlfriend in October 2023.
Lu explains that night market offers them an ideal starting point for small business, with steady customer flow and profits. The young couple see this venture as the first step toward their business success.
