LHASA, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Linze Village of Gongbo'Gyamda County, Nyingchi City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region is a well-known habitat of the Tibetan macaque, a national second-class protected animal species.
Tobgye, a forest ranger in Linze Village, has voluntarily taken on the responsibility of protecting the Tibetan macaques during his mountain patrols since 2000.
His kindness to the macaques touched the villagers of Linze Village, who cleaned up the areas where the Tibetan macaques often show up, so as to prevent them from mistakenly eating garbage. Thus, the Tibetan macaque families thrive, with more than 7,000 of them inhabiting here.
