Vaishali (Bihar) [India], November 2 (ANI): Singer-turned-politician and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Khesari Lal Yadav on Sunday alleged that the NDA does not discuss employment in Bihar, instead indulges in communal talks.
Speaking to ANI, Yadav alleged that the ruling NDA has not set up factories and resolved unemployment in the State.
He said, 'People need jobs now, and the NDA never discusses employment. It always talks about Hindutva and Sanatan Dharma, temples, mosques, India, and Pakistan. This problem of hatred should be resolved. Hatred spreads because people are idle. But they've had an NDA government for 20 years, and not even a single factory has been set up.'
'This must be the first state where unemployment is zero. We get trains to leave our homes, to stay away from our families. We don't get jobs that allow us to earn money while living with our families and ensure our children's futures. We're not asking for money. Give us work. We'll earn and raise our children. But they never give us work. They just raise some issue or another during every election, so the world doesn't ask for employment,' he added.
Khesari Lal Yadav, aka Shatrughan Yadav, who is contesting for Mahagathbandhan from Chhapra constituency, has been vocal about providing employment in Bihar.
Earlier on Friday, Khesari Lal said that the Mahagathbandhan would at least provide 50 lakh jobs.
In an interview with ANI, Khesari Lal said, 'If we don't provide two crore jobs, we will at least provide 50 lakh jobs. At least our leaders are talking about providing employment. The NDA government doesn't even make promises; it only talks about jungle raj.'
Mahagathbandhan, led by RJD and Congress, has promised to pass a law within 20 days of forming the government to provide government jobs to one member of every family in the state, while the NDA, led by the BJP and JD(U), has promised more than one crore jobs.
Meanwhile, Khesari Lal is contesting against the BJP's Chhoti Kumari and Jan Suraaj's Jai Prakash Singh in Chhapra.
The voting for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results will be declared on November 14. (ANI)
