Vikarabad (Telangana) [India], March 30 (ANI): Telanagana CM Revanth Reddy on Saturday addressed a district-level preparatory meeting of 'Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Abhiyan' at his residence in Kodangal.
He criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah's comments on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and pledged significant investment to develop Kodangal.
Reddy said, 'Amit Shah spoke in an insulting manner against Ambedkar in Parliament. The union minister's comments support those who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi. Social transformation took place in the country under the influence of the Indian Constitution written by Ambedkar.'
He highlighted Ambedkar's growing influence, saying, 'People are adoring Ambedkar as an invisible god. Every village worships Ambedkar by installing his statue. Meetings are being held across the state to protest against inappropriate comments on such a great leader and to display the spirit of Ambedkar.'
Addressing state politics, Reddy targeted Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K. Chandrashekar Rao, saying, 'KCR is not attending the Assembly session only to avoid fault-finding during debates. Those who are attending the Assembly lack basic knowledge and are unwilling to learn.'
Reddy claimed the opposition was attempting to destabilize Kodangal. 'The opposition leaders are restless after power transferred from Siddipet, Gajwel, and Sircilla to Kodangal. They have hatched a conspiracy to destroy Kodangal. I am taking the responsibility of safeguarding the state's interests through my visits. Our workers will take the responsibility of fencing Kodangal and protecting the constituency.'
He assured long-term commitment to the region, stating, 'The CM's chair will be for Kodangal for ten years. Let us develop Kodangal significantly in this period. The opposition is trying to provoke some people and stop land acquisition by creating a stir. It is my responsibility to provide two jobs to the families of those who lost their land due to the establishment of industries in Kodangal.'
Reddy stressed the need for industrial growth, saying, 'People from our region are migrating due to a lack of industrial development. This region will develop only by establishing industries. My wish is to provide jobs to your family and see happiness in your eyes.'
Announcing his investment plan, Reddy stated, 'My strong wish is to develop Kodangal with abundant facilities by investing Rs 10,000 crore in the next five years. No one is more important to me than the people of Kodangal. Your affection towards me is enough.'
He also accused certain groups of obstructing progress. 'Some forces who collected money on diesel are blocking Kodangal's development. We all will endure if development is stopped. But development must take place to increase land prices by Rs 1 crore per acre in Kodangal.'
Reddy concluded, 'The people of Kodangal will not tolerate anyone who obstructs the development of the assembly constituency.' (ANI)
